TSC Plans Junior School Teacher Retooling for CBC in 2025
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) will retrain Junior School teachers on the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) and Assessment (CBA) from April 16–25, 2025, using a smart cascade model. Master Trainers will first be trained, then guide Trainers of Trainers (ToTs), who will teach teachers face-to-face. This targets teachers hired in November/December 2024, covering subjects like English, Kiswahili/KSL, Maths, Sciences, and Arts for regular and Special Needs Education (SNE) Junior Schools.
